Elaine is Operations Manager with Sure Valley Ventures but promotes the Tech Cluster of over 140 companies in the southeast as her passion project Crystal Valley Tech.

[Panel 1] Martin Corkery
Director of South East region, Enterprise Ireland

As regional director, Martin leads the development and implementation of Enterprise Ireland’s strategy for indigenous industry across the region.

Founder of Veri

Prior to founding Veri, a software solutions company focused on the compliance sector in education, Ann-Marie developed a high level of expertise in curriculum and training development.

Regional Manager with IDA Ireland, South East Region

Brendan’s focus is on attracting Foreign Direct Investment into the region and has extensive experience in setting up Business & Technology Parks. Brendan is an Internationally focused Solicitor with deep knowledge in employment law, civil litigation, commercial law, and sports law.

CEO, Code Institute

Jim has led and scaled several tech businesses. He is an advocate for the power of education to transform lives and communities and is a former lecturer in digital marketing.

Director, Code Institute

Brendan has extensive leadership experience as a Chair and Director across multiple sectors including finance, insurance, and technology. He has expertise in addressing the complex challenges driving growth through developing and executing strategies and building high-achieving leadership teams.

Regional Skills Manager, South East

Edmond Connolly has been the Manager of the South East Regional Skills Forum since 2016. He has extensive experience in regional development having worked with a number of socio-economic development organisations. He is a graduate of UCD and a Certified Public Accountant.

Chief Technologist, Skillnet Ireland

Mark is tasked with building and leading multi-stakeholder collaborations between Government, Industry, and Higher Education that assist in addressing national and international policy positions on technology and technology talent transformation.

[Panel 2] Dr Sasitharan Balasubramanim
Director of Research, Walton Institute, WIT

Sasi is an expert in molecular communication and he works with FutureNeuro to bring communication and computer engineering theory to analyze the communication process in neuronal networks. The aim of this research is to develop devices to help diagnose and treat neurological diseases.

[Panel 2] Dr Vivienne Patterson
Head of Skills, Engagement & Statistics, HEA

Vivienne manages a number of national skills initiatives such as the Springboard+ programme, the Human Capital initiative and Apprenticeship in Higher Education.  Vivienne is a member of the Expert Group on Future Skills Needs and the Apprenticeship Council and has contributed to national policy in relation to Skills and Engagement.

Adult Education Manager, Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board

Eimear Brophy is a Further Education and Training Manager with responsibility for Enterprise Engagement with Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board, the state education and training authority for the Limerick and Clare region. Eimear facilitates ongoing dialogue with employers, employees, and Regional Skills Mid West Fora to identify and respond to skills needs within the region.

Senior Software Engineer Manager, BD

Ann is a senior developer managing teams of 60+ software engineers, product owners, UX specialists and DevOps involved in the development of medical diagnostic instruments in Life Sciences. She is an advocate for diversity in tech and is supporting the Coding Careers for Women initiative with a 3 month work placement at BD.

[Panel 3] John Fitzgibbons
Director of Further Education and Training, Cork Education and Training Board

John has responsibility for all FET activity in Cork, accounting for over-provision to over 20,000 learners. He has been involved at a senior level with the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA), with the Department of Education and Skills, SOLAS, and Qualifications and Quality Ireland (QQI) in developing and implementing policy and structures to support the sector. He previously served as Vice-Chair for the Regional Skills Forum in the South West and is currently a member of the Governing Body of UCC, chairing the Student Experience Committee.
