Uploading your CV

Uploading your CV to ConstructionJobsIreland.ie is a great way to prepare for submitting to a wealth of jobs online.

If you are a new user, you must first follow the prompts to create a new account. If you are an existing user, log in.

You can upload your CV by visiting the ‘Jobseeker Dashboard’ area on the site, then selecting the ‘My CVs’ tab, and clicking on ‘Add Resume’.

This will open a window asking you to fill in a number of fields. You can either fill out your details in these fields or add the CV as a separate file in the ‘Resume_File’ section down the end of the form.

Click on the browse button and you will see a ‘Choose file’ window. Locate your CV on your computer and then click on ‘Open’. The path to your CV will appear in the CV text field.

Complete the rest of your Jobseeker Profile and click the ‘Preview and Save’ button at the bottom of the page. Your CV is now on our system which means you can apply for jobs with ease.

Please make sure your document is not password protected.

To change your CV you should first go to your Jobseeker Profile page on the ConstructionJobsIreland site. Within the ‘My CVs’ section click on the ‘Edit’ option, which is the pencil icon.

Scroll down to the ‘Browse’ button next to the name of the existing CV.

Click on the browse button and you will see a ‘Choose file’ window. Locate your CV on your computer and then click on ‘Open’. The path to your CV will appear in the CV text field’.

Finally, scroll to the bottom of the Jobseeker Profile and click on the ‘Save Changes’ button. Your CV has now been updated.

This option allows you to upload your existing CV so employers can access, view, and print your CV in Word. If you’ve already created and saved a version of your CV, this may be the choice for you.

When you create your resume you’ll use it to apply to the jobs that you choose to. In accordance with GDPR, no one will have access to your CV other than the organisation who you submit an application to and our technical assistance team.
